Bella Voce seeks support from donations, ticket sales, granting
organizations, individual and corporate sponsors, all of which are

Bella Voce is honored to be
the recipient of the following grants this season.
Vermont Arts Council and the National
Endowment for the Arts awarded a grant to Bella Voce
in 2008 to support a concert tour of a the world premiere of a new cantata by
Gwyneth Walker, Lessons from the Sea based on Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s
inspirational book “Gift from the Sea”. “Gift from the
Sea” is one of the most beloved classics of inspirational literature.
The tour will take place in April 2008.
In 2006 and 2007 Bella Voce received a grant from the Alfred
Nash Patterson Foundation for the Choral Arts Fund from Choral
Arts New England. Funds from this award will be used to
provide financial assistance for Bella Voce's CD
recording project of the choral music for women's voices composed
by
Gwyneth Walker,
released fall of 2007. The 2007 grant will support a new holiday work
commissioned from Robert DeCormier, which is also being recorded
for release in fall of 2008.
The Vermont Arts Endowment Fund of the Vermont Community
Foundation has generously provided Bella Voce with funds to be
used toward a commission for Gwyneth Walker to write a cantata
based on Anne Morrow Lindbergh's beloved book, Gift From The Sea.
The choir will premier the work in the spring of 2008. The
fund has also provided grant assistance for the new holiday work
for women's voices commissioned from Robert DeCormier which was
premiered in December 2007.
The Argosy Foundation Contemporary Music Fund has also
provided generous support for Bella Voce's collaborations with
Gwyneth Walker including the CD recording project and performances
of the newly commissioned cantata in Vermont.
