Bella Voce on Burlington Chamber Orchestra’s program

Bella Voce will be featured guests on the Burlington Chamber Orchestra’s season closer, performing works by former Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker including Love is a Rain of Diamonds, I Will be Earth, Thank you God, and How Can I Keep From Singing - music included on Bella Voce’s 2007 recording of Walker’s music.

Also in the program music of Mozart and Bonis and the winner of the BCO’s Concerto Competition.

“Tapestry of Song” Spring Concerts
Richard Stoehr emigrated to the US from his native Austria at the beginning of World War II, escaping almost certain death under the Nazi regime. An already accomplished music teacher and prolific composer in his home country, he taught briefly at Curtis Institute of Music before gaining a permanent position at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont, where he remained until his death in 1967.
